I do agree with the point a lot of other authors make (Emily P. Freeman, and others) that exercising our creativity is usually worthwhile. God is the Creator, we are made in his image, and to create is part of emulating him.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint, there is no exact blueprint for creativity in Scripture. I tend to think that’s a thought to take note of in and of itself…if there were an exact blueprint, that would be productivity, not creativity. And if God wanted us to merely produce without creating he would have made that clear, I feel.

Still, it leaves a lot of questions without concrete answers. :-) By the way this is such a fun discussion!
