True. Due to my own problem with perfectionism, I have found that sometimes “letting it all fly” in the first draft poses its own risks--I get emotionally attached to some of my own words, and hate to give them up, even when they don’t serve the purpose of the piece! 😂 My solution has been to dump those lines/paragraphs in a word doc, promising myself I will “use them someday.” Works for me!
